Tamborine Mountain – 25th and 26th September, 2010
The Scenic Rim is home to a rich pool of artists and creative people. ‘Studios of the Scenic Rim’ provides visitors with the opportunity to step inside the workspaces of the local creative community and see them at work.
This successful initiative of the Scenic Rim Regional Council has been running since 2008 and features artists from Tamborine Mountain, Canungra, Beechmont, Mt Barney, Boonah, Rathdowney and Kalbar.
In May and September each year artists throughout these communities open their studios to the public or work from one of the region’s popular tourist spots as an artist in residence.

What you’ll see:
Exhibiting from their boutique accommodation business, Witches Falls Cottages, this couple create beautiful jewellery and photography. David is a former company boss who sold the company to pursue new interests. Now, as well as running the successful accommodation business, he makes silver and gold jewellery and high-end coaster sets which draw on rich Australian resources for their composition. His Swiss-born partner Daniela is a photographer who focuses her lens on the naturally-occurring beauty of the Mountain.
The studios are open all weekend, so why not book your accommodation for the weekend at Tamborine Mountain Bed & Breakfast, wander through the studios and feast your eyes on the beautiful and creative art pieces during the day and then relax in comfort on the deck (‘with simply the best views’) with some local beer or wine and meander off to bed when you just cannot keep your eyes open anymore.
