Songs of My Fair Lady – Dinner and Concert Mt Tamborine
In a perfect antidote to global economic gloom and doom, on Saturday 13th October, Eagle’s Nest will ring with the Songs of My Fair Lady, featuring Terri Watters, recreating her 2004 role as Eliza Doolittle for the Stratford-upon-Avon Operatic Society, at the RSC Theatre in Stratford upon Avon, and Glenn Lorimer as Henry Higgins.
Wear your best Ascot Hat, or Costers Cap, and join in the best-loved choruses – With a Little Bit of Luck, The Rain in Spain, and Get Me to the Church on Time.
Consummate performers, Terri and Glenn will have you laughing, tapping your toes and singing along, as they take you on Eliza and Prof. Higgins’ roller-coaster journey with song after fabulous song – Wouldn’t It Be Loverly?, I Could Have Danced All Night, Why Can’t A Woman Be More Like a Man?, On the Street Where You Live and more.
Now living on Tamborine Mountain, Terri studied Theatre/Film at the University of NSW, and began her professional career aged eighteen. She toured Australia and Hong Kong in South Pacific, and has performed at the Sydney Opera House. Her roles in Australia include Dolly Levi in Hello Dolly!, Fanny Brice in Funny Girl, Nancy in Oliver!, and Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance.
In the UK from 2000 to 2007, Terri performed regularly with the Stratford-upon-Avon Operatic Society, at the RSC Theatre in Stratford upon Avon. At this world famous theatre, she played Polly Baker in Crazy for You in 2003, and Eliza Doolittle in 2004 – treading the same boards as greats such as Laurence Olivier and Judi Dench.
At $65 per person including a three course dinner and concert, a night not to be missed!
