All the world loves a song and on Saturday 12th February, Eagle’s Nest sets 2011 off in fine style with the most melodic and enduring love songs and duets to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

From the rousing opener ‘Its a Grand Night for Singing’, Charles Chaplin’s ‘Immortal Love’, ‘This Is My Song’ and Irving Berlin’s perky ‘You’re Just In Love’ to Puccini’s greatest operatic duets, the power of the music will leave you on a musical high, lift rain-soaked spirits and set you humming and singing into the New Year.

Included in the programme: Tonight & Maria from West Side Story — Love, This Is My Song, Some Enchanted Evening, You’re Just In Love, Play a Simple Melody and the magnificent anthem and aria’s from Verdi’s Luisa Miller and La Traviata and more…..

Mountain Opera goers will remember the voices of Tom & Tanya when they delighted mountain audiences in Puccini’s Madam Butterfly at Avalon Gardens. Tom has sung with both Opera Australia and Opera Queensland in a number of roles and is sought after as a soloist in concert and Oratorio, and was also a member of of the esteemed Opera Australia Chorus.
