August 2010 Newsletter

August has arrived and winter is now two thirds through. The colors of the vegetation have been truly amazing with the leaves on the deciduous trees changing daily before eventually dropping to form a carpet on the ground. Spring is just around the corner, a great time to visit Tamborine Mountain, so close to Brisbane (1 hours drive) and the Gold Coast (30 minutes drive), but so delightfully different.
Tamborine Mountain has just completed its third annual Scarecrow Festival with in excess of 230 Scarecrows scattered along the Scarecrow trail. This popular three day event attracted many visitors from far and wide, all of whom enjoyed the attractions of Mt Tamborine as well as the fun and excitement of following the Scarecrow Trail.
In early August the mountain hosts Seasons on the Mountain a 2 day event that allows visitors to wander around 3 x magnificent open gardens highlighting the Winter season on Tamborine Mountain.
As other Events are organized they are highlighted in advance on our Website on our What’s On Now page. Please bookmark this page so that you can check back regularly to see what is happening on Mount Tamborine and surrounds.
Considering spending a few of days or more on Tamborine Mountain, why not consider a midweek stay? We have special accommodation packages available for midweek breaks.
Look forward to welcoming you to our special piece of Tamborine Mountain in the near future.
